Linear Equations in Two Variables | Class 10 | Practice set 1.4
In this article, you will learn about the special type of linear equations and will get the simple solutions of the problems of practice set 1.4
In this practice set, the examples are different from the ones we have already studied in previous practice sets of this chapter. This is a special type of linear equations.
In these types of examples, first we should look for a common term in both the variables and replace it with some other variables say ‘m’ and ‘n’. Then both the equations will get simplified and we can solve both the equations using the elimination method.

After getting the values of ‘m’ and ‘n’, we can substitute them in the original coefficient terms and again we will get the two new equations.
After solving these equations we will get the values of ‘x’ and ‘y’, which is our final solution.
