The pdf file will take 2-3 seconds to load. Please be patient.

Practice-set-45

In this practice set there are 4 examples and in all examples we are asked to find the area of the square and rectangle.

The area of the square is calculated by squaring of the side of the square and the area of the rectangle is calculated by multiplying the length of the rectangle with the breadth of the rectangle.

In one of the question the comparative question is also asked where we have to double or triple the side of the square and then asked to find the relation of this new area of the square with the area of the original square.

In this way, in all the questions, we only have to write the formula for finding the area of the given mathematical figure and by performing simple mathematical calculations we can find out the required quantity.

The questions answered in the attached pdf file attached at the start of this article are as follows :

  1. If the side of a square is 12 cm, find its area.
  2. If the length of a rectangle is 15 cm and breadth is 5 cm, find its area ?
  3. The area of a rectangle is 102 sqcm. If its length is 17 cm, what is its perimeter ?
  4. If the side of a square is tripled, how many times will its area be as compared to the area of the original square.
